Vacuum Food Sealers

Vacuum sealers come in many varieties.

Bagged Types – The most popular type is small and fits on the countertop.  You put bagged food next to the sealer and it sucks food out of the bag.  The FoodSaver is one of these types.

Chamber Types – Chamber types are the vacuum sealers for professionals.  They often use a Mylar bag.  The cost is 1k and up.  They are used in many industrial plants for packaging of material from electronics to food.

Portable Types – Reynolds is out with a portable vacuum sealer.  It is about the size of a large razor.  You simply hook it up to the Handi-Vac bags and wait for six to fifteen seconds.  A research firm, AC Nielson, states that 31.2% of customers, of this product, are repeat buyers.  The main benefit is the small convenient size.
