Food Storage Tips The best tip I can give you is to start now. Most of us put off the food storage for another day. The truth is that you might need the food storage any day. Buy food that you like to eat; items that you would normally eat. It will make living off your food storage all that much nicer. For example, if you cook with sugar, store sugar (not honey). Finally, start with getting large bags or containers of the staples like wheat, flour, sugar, beans, rice, and legumes. The first priority is to have something to sustain life. Then, add in other items that will make living off the storage more pleasant. Vitamins are a good food storage item. In a crisis, you may not have the luxury of a well rounded and/or balanced diet. |
